Fascinated about how people learn and get along, Rachel Klaver has become a well known facilitator of ECE Professional Development over the last nine years. In recent years she has also spoken to conferences and groups about Influencers in Social Media, PR, and Managing teams and clients. The bulk of her speaking engagements are still in the ECE sector, or to parents.
Rachel's worked in a range of areas from education, marketing, direct sales, retail, and the corporate sector. She has a broad base of skills across a range of disciplines including strategising, planning, writing, networking, developing ideas and creating.
She's is a published writer, including twenty seven titles, three of which were published through Penguin Books, and over a thousand articles. She's worked as a freelance writer for a wide range of magazines both here in New Zealand and in the UK, US, Asia and Australia, including The Listener, Next, Treasures, In Business, Business Today, She, Her Magazine, Woman's Weekly and AA Magazine. Many of these have focused in three main genres: education, business and profiles of interesting and successful businesses.
She is considered an “influencer” on social media platforms, particularly twitter, and is adept at using social media as part of a wider plan to build profile for herself and her clients. She's a natural connector and networker, and delights in instigating new and positive relationships for her clients, to help them build their team, and their business.
She has blogged on several high trafficked sites, as well as ghostwriting blogs for corporate clients.She has appeared on both TV3 and TVNZ as a relationship commentator. Her ability to present and deliver information to an audience effectively has seen her grow in demand around New Zealand, particularly to education based businesses and parenting groups. Rachel has three children.
